I have been a helping professional for over 15 years. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and collegiate settings. I now work in the corporate world, assisting individuals with disabilities get the accommodations needed to be successful in the workplace.I have found that mindfulness is an excellent tool for growth and recovery. Teaching mindfulness to my clients that are experiencing mental health struggles has been a rewarding experience for them and myself.I have seen firsthand with my three children, the impact mindfulness practice can have on their ability to do hard things.I believe mindfulness is a key component of emotional intelligence. As we develop emotional intelligence, academic success is sure to follow.I am excited to serve on the board and be an agent of change in the lives of so many.
