Meghan Smith is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) working toward her Independent Social Worker (LISW) license. She holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology and earned her Master of Social Work from Clarke University. In addition to her mental health training, Meghan is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher with an additional 95-hour certification in youth and toddler yoga.
With a deep passion for fostering emotional well-being and personal growth, Meghan is a dedicated mental health therapist specializing in Anxiety, ADHD, Life Transitions, Mood Disorders, Relationship Issues, School Issues, and Trauma. She takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each individual.
Meghan's commitment to holistic healing extends beyond traditional therapy. She believes in the power of mindfulness and movement to support mental health and emotional regulation, making yoga and mindful education key components of her approach. As a board member of Mindful Minutes, she is passionate about promoting accessible mindfulness and yoga education to help individuals cultivate self-awareness, emotional balance, and inner strength.
Outside of her work with Mindful Minutes, Meghan provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults at Bridget Bartlett Counseling in Dubuque and with groups at Centrally Rooted. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two daughters and two dogs, as well as reading, yoga, pickleball, and lifelong learning.
